Account Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

We're searching for an experienced Account Manager preferably with Pharma experience to maintain strong client relationships. Additionally, in conjunction with the AD, plans, coordinates, and directs the client-approved strategic direction of assigned marketing projects in print, video and digital for our healthcare client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Functions as primary contact and liaison between the client(s) and the Chicago based eg+ staff
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with client and all agency partners
  • Represents eg+ in a positive and collaborative manner and is the “face of the team” at the client
  • Builds strong relationships based on experience, personal interest and business acumen
  • Confers with client to determine scope of work and budgetary requirements based on client's needs
  • Gather project information from client and work with strategy staff to develop proper briefings
  • Ensures the client’s voice is heard and understood by capturing and translating accurate client input and feedback, and providing that information to the team
  • Able to communicate client priorities, direction and concerns to the team in verbal and written form
  • Confers with creative staff, project management and production personnel in selecting appropriate project solutions and estimating costs
  • Submits proposed programs and estimated budgets to client for approval
  • Keeps client apprised of adjustments or revisions to budgets and projects
  • Monitors budgets and keeps client apprised of outstanding invoices owed
  • Ensures integration and consistency throughout all creative projects which consists of content creation, video, print and digital creation projects
  • Monitors project process by developing a close working-relationship with Program Management
  • Works with client’s marketing partners and the team in the delivery of holistic, integrated marketing solutions for clients
  • Manages sensitive or problematic financial issues with poise, discretion and aplomb
  • Looks for opportunities to develop organic revenue growth
  • Works with all client departments
  • Keeps the team up to speed on relevant “news” and “happenings” with client

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in an agency, marketing or communication environment
  • An understanding of the development of creative projects in both print and digital required, video experience a huge plus
  • Exceptional writing skills for proposals, estimates and team/client communications
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Healhcare/Pharma industry experience is a plus
  • Regulatory experience a plus
  • Keeps current on marketing trends and developments
  • In depth understanding of Word, Excel, Powerpoint

NOTES

  • Job requires some travel as well as evening and/or weekend work
  • Must be available to be on-site at client location, as required.
