Lead Content Producer - Still Imagery
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading the video content producers for all still CGI and photo content production and execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES relative to Creative Content Production (Other duties may be assigned.):
- Estimates fees and expenses for still CGI and photo production.
- Establish production workflow and necessary steps for a streamlined content execution.
- Oversee and supervise all still CGI and photo content and projects in production and ensures producers have the tools and information for a smooth delivery.
- Manages top level production view over producer and project team.
- Reviews proposals from vendors with team and cost consultants (if applicable)
- Create and enforce data/asset tracking and that metadata is properly documented.
- Attends initial creative concept meetings to evaluate project needs, scoping, budget and timeline.
- Tasking producers to all incoming projects based on their skill sets, expertise and availability.
- Attends pre-production meetings and on-set production when additional supervision is required. Based on supported budgets.
- Responsible for ensuring all video projects stay under budget and within scheduled timelines.
- Reviews and approves vendor invoices and change memos.
- Bridge the communication and collaboration gap between the producer, account and creative teams.
- Ensuring proper use of naming conventions and folder structure.
- Builds partnerships and communications with photography and CGI industry and entire TDI personnel.
- Recognizes possible legal pitfalls and guard agency/client against them, particularly talent usage and licensing issues.
- Maintains awareness of visual trends in the graphic arts field, continually reviewing for new creative talent
- Continually reviews and learns about new asset creation methods, from VR to low footprint content capture.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Leads and directs the producer team to meet and exceed ALL above responsibilities with success
- Mentor still CGI and photo content producers on best practices and enforcing process protocol.
- Reviews and approves all budgets, estimates, scope, and any other items related to the successful planning and execution of a client project prior to submission to the Account Team
- Maintains daily assessment of ALL active projects and projects in planning to ensure all client and account team expectations are being met.
- Ensures producer team is timely and meets ALL expected deadlines.
- Clearly and proactively communicates with client teams any issues, unexpected variances to delivery of assets, schedules, estimates, anything in general related to the success of the planning and execution process.
- Leverages individual strengths when tasking team members on projects.
- Balances workload across team to manage capacity.
- When workload / projects permit, cross train team with clear direction and oversight for personnel and departmental growth.
- Provide weekly project status updates to Director of Content Production.
- Engage Director of Content Production for general support
- Engage Director of Content Production to provide awareness of project / planning issues prior to or as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 8 years minimum experience in photo, CGI production, with no less than 3 years as a lead / manager of content production teams
- Requires first-hand knowledge of the tools and process employed for photo, video, and CG production
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Able to work under pressure and under deadlines
- Strong and encouraging leadership abilities
- Strong follow through abilities
- Tactful negotiator (both with vendors and client teams)
- Flexible and helpful
- Able to handle multiple tasks
- Job requires some evening and/or weekend work at times
- Travel may be required
