Associate Producer

Designory is looking for an Associate Producer to support our growing Chicago-based production department. The ideal candidate has experience in both print and video content production, from pre-production through post. Your role will be assisting the lead producers in all aspects of content production, from scope through final asset delivery. In addition, you’ll work with the creative, project management and account teams to create and implement efficient processes in the department. Daily responsibilities will include direct contact with clients, vendors, production contacts, live shoots, and communication with Designory’s Global Production teams.

  • Assist in the development and execution of print photoshoot and video productions from concept through delivery, ensuring jobs are produced within budget and delivered on time
  • In collaboration with the producing, creative and account teams, review incoming briefs and assist with project scoping, estimating, and kick-off
  • Along with lead producer, organize project workflow for scheduling
  • Assist with essential administrative project paperwork
  • Partner with producers and finance to onboard new vendors, issue purchase orders, insurance, and ensure vendor payments have been completed
  • Arrange bookings of 3rd party production vendors
  • Record detailed meeting minutes, identifying, tracking, and following-up on action items
  • Work closely with post-production teams to oversee internal and external expectations
  • Assist in the documentation of Completion Reports 


  • In depth understanding of lifestyle still and video productions for studio and location shoots
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • A skilled, creative, confident presenter
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and capable of self-managing in an environment where multiple projects occur simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Open to ask questions and proactively seek clarification
  • Possess ability to adapt in a variety of situations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills within a collaborative environment
  • A general understanding of advertising agency workflow
  • Proficiency with Google Suite
  • Proficiency in Frame I.O.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheets
  • Willingness to travel
