Copywriter writes and edits effective and persuasive copy to promote sales of client products and services. 



  • Participates as creative team member in the investigation and solution to creative projects within the context of strategic and marketing direction provided by the client 
  • Consults with account representatives to obtain information on product or service and to discuss style and length of advertising copy, obtaining additional background and current development information through research and interviews 
  • Works closely with Strategic Insights group to incorporate their findings regarding: competitive analyses, market, product and demographic trends; user experience and behavior; and SEO 
  • Works in conjunction with Art Director counterpart (when assigned) in defining a structure, organization or interpretation of a solution for specific project(s) 
  • Helps in the creation of and, if necessary, the presentation of creative copy concepts for projects 
  • Writes preliminary draft of copy for client approval 
  • Corrects and revises copy as necessary 
  • Enters information into computer to prepare advertising copy 
  • Cooperates with project coordinator with regard to schedule, bidding, execution and projection of a project in all phases of copywriting and editing 
  • Works closely in conjunction with team product specialist for product and technical correctness and terminology 



  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience along with an impressive portfolio 
  • Verbal and written fluency in English with strong grasp of language anomalies 
  • Highly collaborative, works well with others across disciplines  
  • Adept and agile working across various media: digital, video, print 
  • Clear communicator 
  • Works well under pressure and under deadlines 
  • Strong follow through abilities 
  • Strong organizational skills
