Associate Quality Assurance Project Manager - ADT

JOB SUMMARY: 

 

The Associate Quality Assurance Project Manager (AQAPM) is a senior member of the Compliance team. The AQAPM works closely with the QA Manager, Director of Compliance, and other senior members of the department and is primarily responsible for handling the day-to-day management of project distribution among the Compliance team with support from the Senior QA Tester. This includes discussing the scope of work necessary for each project, setting project timelines with Project Managers and Developers, and ensuring that the Compliance team has all the necessary resources and guidance to complete projects. 

 

Additionally, the AQAPM is a client-facing role, acting as a liaison for the team to provide insight from the QA perspective for projects during relevant meetings, kick-offs, and throughout the project’s lifecycle. Working with the Compliance team, the AQAPM also organizes retrospectives, gathers feedback, and empowers QA teammates by having them lead discussions focused on process improvements.  

 

Manual QA Testers will report directly to the AQAPM. The AQAPM guides QA Testers to help research, build out, and present materials for internal process improvements while maintaining client and internal project deadlines. The AQAPM also utilizes their skill set and insight to continuously improve the way the Compliance team works while developing the QA Testers’ professional skills and growth within the company. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Communicate with Project Managers and clients regarding timelines, resources, and risks to provide smooth project handoffs. 
    • This includes ensuring processes are being abided by and adjusted accordingly to take into consideration changing requirements and feedback 
  • Track and distribute day-to-day project releases with support from the Senior QA Tester, balancing team workloads while ensuring deadlines are met 
  • Support scoping across projects 
  • Formulate testing needs through project analysis and gathered insights from discipline leads 
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the QA Testers 
  • Distribute and oversee updates to new and existing department documentation 
  • Communicate with team members to resolve project-related challenges and improve work efficiency 
  • Formulate/maintain internal project timelines for the QA Testers by communicating them with the larger Compliance team 
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and Automation Associate QA Manager to ensure alignment on automation initiatives 
  • Recognize, analyze, and assist in the resolution of process challenges 
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to implement Jira process improvements 
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with maintaining and improving team dynamics across disciplines 
  • Provide QA insight during client calls to help scope and set reasonable project expectations  
  • Monitor and assist in Jira/Confluence maintenance with QA Manager and IT support 
  • Other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 2–5 years as a Project Manager or equivalent time spent working in a leadership role 
  • Experience with a QA or Dev team a plus 
  • 2+ years of progressive experience showing the potential for growth in leadership while fostering overall team development 
  • Agency environment experience preferred 
  • Excellent time management, with the ability to track multiple projects in parallel 
  • Ability to problem-solve, improvise, and make quick decisions 
  • Curious, always willing to explore new ideas 
  • Collaborative team player 
  • Basic HTML, CSS 
  • Understanding of jQuery and console a plus 
  • Basic Photoshop 
  • InDesign, Illustrator a plus 
  • Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Jira, Confluence, Google Docs, BrowserStack, Slack, Teams
