Freelance ACD Copywriter



We’re looking for a strategically-minded ACD Copy to support our growing team. Some of our best (and long-term) freelancers are creative problem solvers at heart. They’re also well versed at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines with time spare. Our ACD Copy will lead projects and teams, and report into the CD Copy.


Here’s a snapshot of our work:


  • Both B2B and B2C campaigns and one-off projects for Fortune 100 tech companies
  • Tech-focused sales collateral: medium-form and long-form white papers, blogs, and technical writing
  • Campaign messaging for all kinds of assets
  • Marcom: banners, emails, social, blogs
  • Videos: Sizzle, launch, product (:15-:60s)


  • Work closely with Strategy, Account, and Project Management teams to interpret and guide client directives towards effective creative outputs
  • Plan, assign, direct, and review design, art direction, and copy work
  • Run creative brainstorms and creative client-working sessions 
  • Apply critical and conceptual thinking to brand and marketing strategies

  • Present to client stakeholders and agency management
  • Provide regular support and mentorship to creative team to ensure flawless delivery of the creative product on an ongoing basis

  • Work directly with Studio personnel to manage project needs and expectations to ensure delivery in a timely manner

  • Direct video/photo shoots, editing, and production-related tasks as necessary




  • At least three years of senior-level creative experience in an agency
  • Relevant work examples — portfolio is required
  • A proven understanding of technology
  • Proven ability to provide clear creative direction for art and copy and provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels of both internal and client organizations

  • Ability to prioritize work and resources across engagements

  • Proven collaborative and mentor/supervisory skills
  • Well versed in Google Drive & PowerPoint
  • Leadership experience guiding mid-size creative teams and overseeing 4+ direct reports
