Direct Response Copywriter

JOB SUMMARY
 
We are looking for a growth-minded copywriter to support us on A/B testing of paid digital campaigns and landing pages.
 
You’ll take the lead on developing copy for short-form, high-performing, B2B direct response campaigns on Paid Social (Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn), Paid Search, display, email and campaign landing pages. Your work will be a key creative element in ad experiences that are measured on bottom funnel KPIs such as CPA, Conversion Rate and ROI. This means that you will also be familiar with iterative optimization, contributing to learning agendas, A/B testing and user centered design principles.
 
The ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different disciplines will be key for this role. We are looking for a writer who is comfortable partnering with our strategy and analytics teams to develop new ideas with data driven insights coming from consumer research, paid media performance and website analytics. Together we will make
data-driven storytelling decisions; data and creative coming together to make a better experience for the user.
 
Through your portfolio / case studies, you will be able to demonstrate past experience blending creative inspiration with data driven insights to produce copy that delights but also results in conversion lift and campaign efficiency.
 
You will also have the opportunity to work on non-paid media projects such as website optimization and organic social that require a performance / direct response mindset.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own all performance copy for customer journey touchpoints including direct response paid social media (Facebook and Instagram), YouTube, paid search, e-mail and display campaigns and landing pages
  • Work with strategic planning, marketing sciences and performance marketing disciplines to apply audience insights, campaign data, and performance analytics to develop hypothesis for learning agendas and A/B test ideas to drive incremental improvements
  • Participate in developing user centered, data-driven content and communication strategies
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop ad creative executions which include CRO, UX/UI and channel specific best practices
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Understand how copy impacts the user journey, conversion and campaign performance metrics and be able to optimize as a result
  • Proven ability to understand target audiences and craft copy tailored accordingly
  • Familiarity with paid media channels and ad types
  • Experience copywriting across digital channels and deep understanding of best practices for each
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, environment
  • Experience writing for B2B audiences
 
About You
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant experience, with a focus on conversion copywriting in a fast-paced environment.
  • You understand that great copy comes from blending data and research and creative thinking
  • You love writing, you might even dream about it but you’re not above the mundane, even writing these job descriptions
  • You are skilled at giving and taking constructive feedback.
  • You're comfortable leading and collaborating with others to define goals, strategies, and key messages and defending your position using data and audience insights
  • You have a growth mindset and you’re “in it to win it” but not only for yourself, you can share the wealth when it comes to accolades
  • You can distill complex products and services and crystalize them into simple, compelling, easy-to-understand copy.
