Junior Art Director


Are you passionate about design? A creative thinker? Always making? 
Then you might just be the Junior Art Director we’re looking for. Our ideal candidate is excited by the world of advertising — whether it’s developing concepts and key visuals, creating video storyboards, working in interactive design, or designing sales collateral or digital asset campaigns (banners, emails, social). 
The right Jr. AD is ready to learn and grow, and brings a sense of teamwork to every kick-off, brainstorm, and internal presentation. As a part of the Chicago team, we’ll work with you grow your design skills, hone your presentation abilities, and find your creative niche through exposure to all types of clients and projects.  


  • Create beautiful, effective designs 

  • Partner with writers and other art directors to deliver strategic and complete ideas 

  • Be an enthusiastic contributor and jumping in when extra help is needed 

  • Demonstrate organizational skills and manage multiple projects at once 

  • Create key visuals, storyboards, production-ready files, and digital assets 

  • Present creative ideas with clarity and confidence 

  • Understand and proactively address creative feedback 

  • Meet deadlines with time to spare 

  • Contribute in a unique way to an upbeat, tight-knit remote creative team

  • One to two years of agency experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education  

  • Relevant work examples — portfolio is required 

  • Self-directed, motivated, and resourceful 

  • Comfortable in your process, from sketches to pixel-perfect comps 

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Sketch, Zeplin, Google Docs

  • Familiarity with trends in video, digital design, UX/UI, mobile, print, and typography 

  • BA in Marketing, Design, Fine Arts or related field
