Post Production Supervisor




The Post Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth post workflow and execution through the post production department. Takes ownership in managing and finding artists, editors to specific project needs and timelines. Understands the details and processes that go into a post production workflow and pipeline including ingest, edit, graphics, VFX, conform, color, sound mix, online and delivery. 



  • Work closely with the Post Manager and Director of Content Production to implement all assigned projects into the post production pipeline. 
  • Refine post production pipeline to each project and overall facility direction. 
  • Provide insight to post production timelines and capacity based on scoping parameters. 
  • Provide regular updates on project and department obstacles to Post Manager. 
  • Enforce guidelines and naming parameters for the post production artists throughout the life of each project. 
  • Collaborate with global post offices and find efficiencies between project operations. 
  • Identify key tools and software for streamlining production processes for both localization and traditional production. 
  • Troubleshoot technical problems including software or hardware issues, especially when related to a project timeline. 
  • Providing guidance to new hire teams for project process and department workflow. 
  • Work with Content Production to advise on production requirements for post and best equipment to use to match creative and deliverable needs. 
  • Involved with maintenance of studio space and updating workstations. 
  • Keep track of program versioning and consistency through all machines. 
  • Maintain server stability with operationalizing ingest and archive processes. 
  • Ensure the post operations, equipment and servers are running smoothly. 
  • Should projects need additional freelancers, or third-party assistance outside the Designory in-house roster, Post Supervisor will work with Post Manager to find suitable candidates for the project. 
  • Keep up to date with new post technology and workflows. 


  • 5+ years in a post production environment 
  • 2+ years in a Managerial role. 
  • Excellent time management skills and verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to think critically and progressively to find creative solutions for any problem. 
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times. 
  • Organized and works well under tight and changing deadlines. 
  • Has managed more than 5 team members. 
  • Efficient problem solver in a studio environment 
  • Must be well organized with a keen eye for technical processes.
