Lead Post Producer, Localization

JOB SUMMARY 
 
The Lead Post Producer Localization is a senior level position that is responsible for managing project operations between post production and the localization accounts including scheduling, budgeting and scoping. Takes ownership in building teams to project scopes, working closely with global offices for project sharing and organizes timelines against active and future projects. Understands the details of what each localization project requires and finds the solutions to ensure their success and timely delivery. 

  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage localization project course in and out of post-production 

  • Work with localization accounts to identify incoming projects 

  • Build localization post teams around upcoming and active projects 

  • Report project obstacles and staffing needs to Post Manager 

  • Collaborate with global office groups to pass asset deliveries based on project timeline, scope and budget. 

  • Support localization training for new Localization Producers and provide solutions to their project needs. 

  • Manage localization project tracker and create reports on staffing, revenue, schedule and burn rates. 

  • Actively participate in sourcing new freelance talent and work with Human Resources to identify candidates for future work. 

  • Create forecasts to future scaling or down periods for post-production team 

  • Work with Director of Technology to identify pipeline efficiencies and tools to support growth of localization work 

  • Provide solutions to localization production related issues across projects 

  • Collaborate with the internal IT department on production stability, software and hardware needs. 

  • Manage external vendor relationships for project collaboration where needed. 

  • Work with team leaders on ensuring their groups success and stability through changing company landscape. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 6+ years in a post-production environment 

  • 1+ years in a Managerial role. 

  • Excellent time management skills and verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to think critically and progressively to find creative solutions for any problem. 

  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times. 

  • Organized and works well under tight and changing deadlines. 

  • Has managed more than 10 team members. 

  • Efficient problem solver in a studio environment 

  • Must be well organized with a keen eye for technical processes.
