Diversity and Corporate Communications Director

Job Summary:

This dual role manages both the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Programs as well as Corporate Communications for the company globally. The role is responsible for coordinating both external and internal communications as well as playing a key role in the implementation of DEI strategies, programs, and initiatives based on the company vision.


Responsibilities: DEI

  • Direct responsibility for leading the DEI committee and resource groups to initiate and implement DEI activities globally that will create an inclusive and supportive work environment for all our employees in various offices.
  • Provide governance, oversight and alignment to DEI strategy that reflect an empathetic culture with diverse perspectives.
  • Serve as the center of expertise in all four areas of focus for the company program including: Education, Outreach, Advocacy and Mindfulness.
  • Work with HR and VP of Efficacy to oversee an engaging and results oriented training program for managers and employees
  • Work closely with HR in areas of retention and best practices in hiring, career planning and mentoring.
  • Work with CFO and HR to measure and forecast diversity metrics that will measure success and progress effectively.
  • Act as consultant to underrepresented groups to contribute to open communications and a safe space to voice concerns or issues.
  • Assist with identifying/creating search strategy for diverse vendor partners.
  • Manage outreach efforts with local organizations that reciprocally support and represent our values and strategy.
  • Connects with network DEI representatives (Omnicom, TBWA) to ensure consistency and share resources and best practices.


Responsibilities: Communications

  • Represent company to press and public by acting as corporate spokesperson.
  • Develop and implement a PR plan that includes ways to leverage social media/networking and digital technologies to boost outreach efforts for all offices nationally and globally.
  • Build relationships with various office leads/managers to maintain an information pipeline of activities and “goings on” in global offices; serve as the “hub” for all company information and events.
  • Manage, develop and launch content updates for employees for both the internal communication platform and the company intranet; this includes set up and launch, managing guidelines and procedures and acting as gatekeeper and control center for both outgoing information from the company and incoming from employees.
  • Manages/writes press releases and identifies press opportunities in coordination with Executive team.
  • Partner with social strategy team to brainstorm and support our social media environment efforts.
  • Support HR and execs to organize internal events that relate to corporate branding/culture efforts such as town halls and leadership conferences.



  • 5-7 years of hands on diversity experience with proven, effectiveness
  • 5-7 years of corporate communications or public relations experience.
  • Passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion with pervious experience building and implementing successful and effective DEI programs
  • Strong facilitator, motivator and relationship builder who can interact with diverse professionals at all levels in a supportive manner
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Sociology preferred
  • Experience in working with an international team is a plus
  • High functioning skills in the social media/marketing landscape including FB/Twitter/YouTube
  • Excellent writing/speaking/ communications skills with the ability to work with international staff members in various countries and cultures using tact, sensitivity, diplomacy and influence
  • Strong presence and ability to create effective and engaging presentations
  • Creative problem solver
  • Has strong initiative, excellent work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as needed
  • Job requires occasional travel to various office as well as evening and/or some weekend work
