Global Operations Director, CPG

JOB SUMMARY

We’re searching for an experienced client-facing, Global Operations Director to work in a fast-paced agency who will thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be owning the scope of work / retainer, working with the leads in global production hubs and defining, implementing and ensuring adherence to process. This role will work closely with the client’s global team as well as the internal global, production / studio, asset management and regional account / PM teams. You will also liaise and problem solve with partner agencies (creative and media) and 3rd party vendors on this global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) account. You should be comfortable and experienced with direct client communication and managing multiple clients, team members and projects. This global account includes three categories of work produced globally: above-the-line (ATL), below-the-line (BTL) and e-Commerce.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn, understand and know the client, their products, services, brands, processes, tools, partners and audience
  • Establish and maintain effective, trusted and collaborative working relationships with clients, agency partners and internal departments
  • Be highly communicative and focused on pre-emptive problem solving as well as in managing the expectations of the client at all times, particularly with regard to turnaround times
  • Look for opportunities to provide better support to the client
  • Own agency scope of work / retainer and billing for the account
  • Coordinate and manage monthly KPI reporting for the account
  • Work with the leads in global production hubs on staffing, process, issues and challenges
  • Create resolution plans when issues arise on the account, whether internal or client-initiated
  • Define, implement and ensure adherence to internal and client processes and procedures
  • Be a subject matter expert on the workflow tools used on the account to support the internal and client teams and optimize, as needed
  • Partner with the studio team and 3rd party vendors to define process / ways of working and identify efficiencies
  • Lead onboarding for new team members
  • Attend recurring client meetings as the agency lead
  • Lead the internal global team by staying organized, taking detailed notes, scheduling meetings, following up on status / action items, etc.
  • Manage project communication internally and externally and document key meetings and decisions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6-10 years of experience with 4+ in an agency environment
  • Client-facing experience required
  • Experience working with partner agencies (creative and media) and 3rd party vendors
  • Production experience with above-the-line (ATL), including TV, OLV, social, banners, print, and below-the-line (BTL), including shopper / in-store and e-commerce
  • Experience with global campaigns and regional localization / production
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience a plus
  • Extremely well organized and detail-oriented
  • Team player, positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Emotionally intelligent, collaborative and adaptable
  • Comfortable with quick turn projects and solution-oriented
  • A strong knowledge of best practices in project management
  • Demonstrates strong writing and communication skills
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills
  • A high level of comfort with managing multiple projects in parallel
  • The ability to see big picture while managing every last detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • SmartSheet and Google Drive/Docs experience a plus
  • Must be open to early and late conference calls with global teams, when needed
  • Must be open to travel in US and globally as needed
