Freelance Support Engineer, Technology (C#, ASP.NET MVC)


Working with the rest of the team, the support engineer will be responsible for working with clients and team members to solve everyday challenges that arise. This person is comfortable navigating all three aspects of digital work: people, process, and technology.

We are looking for someone who can assist in maintaining and extending enterprise applications for large brands with a specialty in C# and the ASP.NET MVC environment. Projects will include both internal tooling and highly visible consumer-facing web applications.

  • Architect and develop new features for enterprise applications that are both internal and consumer-facing for large brands.
  • Integrate C# code with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 databases.
  • Assist with data migration and server upgrade tasks.
  • Manage servers, virtual machines, databases, and cloud-based resources in Azure.
  • Manage and fulfill ongoing support tickets from clients and QA.
  • Manage multiple Git-based source control repositories using GitLab.
  • Diagnose, debug, and solve production issues with enterprise cloud-based solutions.
  • Solve security audit issues and maintain compliance with SSO (single sign-on) providers.
  • Work closely with technical team members, project managers, QA, and clients on a regular basis (email, phone, and Slack).
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology that will improve aspects of the company as a whole.


2+ years experience in

  • Developing web applications with Visual Studio, C# and ASP.NET.
  • Working with SQL databases.
  • Working with web servers such as IIS or Apache.
  • Using source control systems such as Git, SVN, or Mercurial.
  • Using bug tracking software such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Serving in a software support role or in an agency environment in some capacity.

BONUS (nice to have)

  • Database administration skills (SQL).
  • Background in software security.
  • DevOps experience.
  • Experience implementing SSO (single signon).
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and SharePoint development.
