HR & Recruiting Coordinator

 

This position provides Human Resource and recruiting support to our employee population in the Chicago office. Reporting to the HR Manager, the coordinator also works closely with the rest of the HR team in Long Beach, CA, as well as team managers in Chicago. He/she has a passion and love for recruiting, a welcoming attitude and knows how to be a true chameleon. The Coordinator is knowledgeable in the Human Resources field and is excited to learn about the ever-changing world of HR. Passion, drive and flexibility will help them to be successful in this role.

 

Recruiting:

  • Full-cycle recruitment for all entry-level and intern positions
  • Assist HR Manager with freelance staffing process including tracking freelance positions, working with hiring managers, and handling freelancer recruiting efforts
  • Work alongside the HR Manager with resume screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks, and preparing offer letters
  • Assist with management of internship program

 

On-boarding/Off-boarding:

  • Lead new hire on-boarding orientation and paperwork process including preparation of new hire documentation, organize orientation meetings for new hires, etc
  • Manage employee off boarding process including termination paperwork, survey, and termination notice  

 

HR Administration:

  • Maintain all department forms and electronic documents
  • Assist HR Manager with maintaining administration of company policies, procedures and practices, as well as keeping up with industry trends and Federal and State employment legislation compliance
  • Assist Executive Assistant with office events, socials, and Lunch N’ Learns

 

Social & Volunteer Efforts:

  • Assist with social club activities (d.club), vendor partnerships, and give back opportunities

Performance Management

  • Assist HR manager with annual review program and performance management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1-year related HR experience and/or training
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong database skills (such as Visio is a plus)
  • Exhibits a high stand of customer service
  • Friendly demeanor and excellent client service
  • Great team collaborator with excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, a self-starter, resourceful
