Who we are looking for:

Designory Chicago is looking for a Paid Search Strategist who has hands-on experience in SEM, a proven track-record delivering acquisition and conversion-focused traffic, and at a higher level an understanding of client goals and how they translate into paid search strategy. The position requires an analytical mindset to optimize our search marketing campaigns for maximum effectiveness, as well as the ability to clearly communicate strategy and results internally and to our clients. In this role, you will bring an understanding of the current search environment and technologies, and be able to share SEM examples of either a local market strategy, a national brand strategy, or both.


  • Create and manage Google Adwords paid search and display campaigns
  • Utilize bid management tools, Adwords Scripts, automated bid-rules, data modeling, and testing to maximize the effectiveness of PPC campaigns and increase ROI
  • Provide day-to-day campaign management, including keyword generation, ad copy creation, bid management, budget management and campaign optimization
  • Generate and present reporting to ensure that both clients and the wider team are aware of campaign performance
  • Ensure campaigns use PPC best practices
  • Provide insights, trends, and optimization recommendations


  • 4+ years’ experience in search marketing
  • Deep knowledge of SEM and current and emerging trends and technologies
  • Proficient with Google AdWords, Bing Ads, and retargeting platforms
  • Experience with A/B and/or multivariate testing
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills
  • Collaborative spirit, strong work ethic, and proven track record for taking initiative
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Creativity, teamwork and strong attention to detail required
