Account Manager, Digital

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Digital Account Manager is to keep the client – and Designory – satisfied not just with all projects assignments, but the relationship in general. While this role will be dedicated to a single luxury automotive client, they will be responsible for a multitude of projects on various digital platforms, often simultaneously. They will represent Designory in client meetings, communicate both good and bad news to a client with tact and aplomb, answer questions and make certain they receive what they have asked for as part of our agreed upon deliverables. 

This is a challenging role requiring a careful balance between the client’s needs, wants and priorities, and Designory’s bottom line. Working closely with the account leadership and project management teams, they will play a crucial role in client retention through the successful management and delivery of assignments.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to finesse delicate client relationships while driving multiple projects forward and allowing strategic, creative & production teams to deliver the best results
  • Must develop and understanding of the client’s business model, marketplace and factors affecting sales, digital content trends in the industry
  • Strong, but not aggressive leadership style. Knows how to push and when to let things simmer, particularly when presenting deliverables to client.
  • While being driven by a complex timeline of tasks, requires finesse as well as stress management and extreme organization skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with digital content development required
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies required
  • Experience with AEM platforms required
  • Mobile and app experience preferred
  • Mac literate, in the applications of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and database management software.
  • 4+ years of digital account management experience, preferably with an agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably business, marketing or communications
  • Job may require some evening and/or weekend work  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and pitch-in as part of a diverse delivery team (wear many hats).
  • Create a motivating and encouraging environment for team members.
  • Ensure effective and ongoing communication with the business and account directors related to project status and deliverables.
  • Properly realize all the short-term and long-term client needs and provide appropriate and precise solutions.
  • Own and develop individual project schedules in partnership with project manager and manage any changes with the internal team against client expectations.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Prepare pre/post project analysis reports for management, client, or others as required.
  • Prepare project briefs, open job numbers, create estimates, agendas and conference reports as needed.
  • Monitor digital processes and advise on improvements where needed
  • Maintain perspective and an understanding of the larger program across the different verticals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of digital development activities and liaise with partner agencies for content development and authoring needs
