Web Presence Optimization (WPO) Strategist


The Web Presence Optimization Strategist will develop content strategy recommendations, implement technical SEO, plan and manage SEM and Paid media campaigns and work with the strategy team to deliver customer journey insights and optimize content for improved search presence and conversion 

This is a high paced, hands-on position requiring breadth of knowledge and capabilities across various disciplines and an understanding of online marketing, customer experience, content strategy and SEO. We are looking for someone with exceptional research, analytical and presentation skills, attention to detail, with a desire to effectively support a diverse portfolio of national B2B and B2C clients.


  • Work within the Web Presence Optimization team to manage the agency’s existing SEO, Search Marketing and Paid Media initiatives
  • Work with agency partner teams to ensure on-time deliverables
  • Deliver content, shopper journey and SEO recommendations
  • Perform both content and technical SEO audits
  • Setup, Manage and Optimize Paid Search and Display Campaigns
  • Deliver integrated SEO/SEM and Paid Media solutions
  • Develop expansive SEO, Paid Media and Content Strategy reports with minimal supervision


  • In-house, no remote, offsite
  • Experience collaborating with marketing strategy, Analytics, UX, Design and copywriting teams to execute SEO projects
  • Experienced in search marketing strategy and execution
  • Ability to provide in-depth SEO and conversion focused copywriting recommendations
  • Understanding of Voice Search / Quick Answer Optimization
  • In-depth understanding of technical SEO
  • Experience with keyword research, social listening and providing actionable content strategy insights from this data
  • Ability to plan and manage SEM and Paid Media campaigns
  • In-depth knowledge of Advanced Adwords Paid Search and Display tactics and automation
  • Understanding of SEO, SEM, Paid Media and web analytics reporting – GA/Omniture
  • High proficiency with Excel & search tools including Moz, SEMRush, Conductor, Brightedge, Keyword Spy, etc.
  • Experience/understanding of link building strategies and campaigns
  • In-depth understanding of technical SEO
  • Proficient with Google Slides/Google Sheets/Powerpoint/Keynote
  • Comfortable making client facing presentations


  • 5+ years of increasing levels of general and digital marketing expertise
  • 5+ years of experience in search marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree or deep background in Marketing, Mathematics/Statistics, Communications
