Human Resources Manager

Designory is looking for a flexible and dependable Human Resources Generalist for our fast-paced Chicago office that will manage HR functions. This position works in coordination with the HR team and reports to the Sr. HR Director located in Long Beach, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the entire cycle of recruitment of new hires and freelancers including requisitions, approvals, ad placements, networking, interviewing, reference checking, and working closely with team leads to help manage resources efficiently.
  • Working with LB office to manage, advise and administer the employee training program and staff development.
  • Assisting Sr. HR Manager with various health and welfare issues including leaves, benefit administration, employee attendance.
  • Managing onboarding including new hire orientations.
  • Overseeing and advising managers with the administration of annual review program and performance management.
  • Works directly with HR staff and management to counsel, advise/escalate personnel issues.
  • Maintaining administration of company policies, procedures and practices, as well as keeping up on industry trends and Federal and State employment legislation compliance.
  • Serving as Cultural Ambassador managing office events, diversity and inclusion programs, and employee awards programs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS degree plus 3-6 years of HR experience in a marketing/advertising/tech or combination of relevant experience and education
  • HRIS skilled, database, spreadsheet, PowerPoint all required
