Freelance Associate Creative Director, Art


Are you a persuasive visual storyteller? A driven master of your craft and of pushing your own creativity? A strategic and creative problem-solver? Then you might just be the freelance creative lead we’re looking for.

We need a freelacne ACD who has a flair for visual narratives. Our ideal ACD thinks big, is a leader, and a true believer in collaborating across disciplines. This role requires that you have a fluid ability to understand the details of a project while maintaining strategic and creative elevation; it also offers the unique opportunity to concept, execute, and present to key client stakeholders, creating new standards and pushing boundaries in the process.

Day to day, the ACD Art will oversee creative across digital, video, social, and (sometimes) print campagins. The ACD will be responsible for leading teams of Art Directors, Designers and Copywriters to find innovative approaches to projects.

This is a freelance position but we are open to hiring if you're the right candidate.


  • Work closely with Strategy, Account, and Project Management teams to interpret and guide client directives towards effective creative products

  • Plan, assign, direct, and review design, art direction, and copy work
  • Run creative brainstorms and creative client-working sessions
  • Apply critical and conceptual thinking to brand and marketing strategies

  • Present to client stakeholders and agency management
  • Provide regular support and mentorship to creative team to ensure flawless delivery of the creative product on an ongoing basis

  • Work directly with Studio personnel to manage project needs and expectations to ensure delivery in a timely manner

  • Direct video/photo shoots, editing, and production-related tasks as necessary



  • Minimum 3 years of senior-level creative experience in an agency
  • A strong understanding of interaction design and digital campaign development

  • Flexible, communicative, professional with a great eye and strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to provide clear creative direction for art and copy and provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels of both internal and client organizations

  • Ability to prioritize work and resources across engagements

  • Strive to improve creative processes and keep work on schedule and budget

  • Proven collaborative and mentor/supervisory skills
  • Leadership experience guiding mid-size creative teams and overseeing 4+ direct reports
