UI Designer

JOB SUMMARY:

Designory is looking for a seasoned UI Designer to join our global account. If you are a forward-thinking, self-motivated individual who loves creating innovative user-centric experiences and are familiar with the latest development in screen-based design, we would love to talk to you.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conceptualize original ideas that brings simplicity and user friendliness to consumer experiences in a visually compelling way
  • Create entire modular design systems as it applies to a product or marketing experience, with focus on guiding users to interact with the product, and consistency + attention to the smallest detail 
  • Collaborate closely with the UX, Strategy, Art Directors, Copywriters and Development teams to create strategically sound, user-centric and exceptional UI design
  • Work hands-on, mentor Junior Designers when necessary, as well as take direction from the Creative Director on the project Requirements
  • Able to quickly create a prototype to effectively communicate your interaction ideas
  • Constantly develop strong points of view to help grow the Interaction Design practice within Designory

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three or more years of experience in UI design
  • Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of UX best practices, creative but also scientific and organized
  • Strong portfolio with experience designing digital interfaces as they apply to consumer-facing or B2B, marketing, websites, mobile, tablet, apps and more
  • Enthusiasm, advanced sensibility and understanding of the balance of colors, textures and interactive elements (such as navigational design components) that make a user-friendly design
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and prototyping softwares (ex. Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, Marvelapp)
  • Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS, Ajax, and Javascript
